Alldays Industrial Swage Block:
Alldays & Onions is best known for their power hammers but they also made other blacksmithing tools.
Most of their equipment is found in Australia and Great Britian.
This is a fine example of an industrial swage block.
It is nearly perfectly symetrical which is difficult considering every feature is a different size.
In this case rounds balance square around a center feature.
There are no critical weak spots and the holes reduce most of the mass to relatively small sections that cast with less shrinkage than large massive sections.
