The paint colors indicate red for as-cast surfaces and black for core prints.
For each core print there would be a core box to make the sand core.
While it is not obvious the pattern will have a very slight draft (taper) so that it will pull cleanly from the sand.
A fairly well designed pattern with numerous graduated features.
However, the row of half rounds (at bottom above) creates a weak corner at the left.
Shifting the whole row about 1/4" to the right would improve the structural integrity.
