The numbers are the distributors catalog numbers and have nothing to do with any industry standards.
Manufacturing variations include taper and wall thickness.
Another large cone with the dimensions
54" tall, 15-3/4" Base, 1-3/4" Top
weighed in at 220 lbs.
This is less than half the weight of the largest above while taller and 93% of the diameter.
Most of the difference must be in wall thickness.
The cones above are very heavy compared to others.
Swage Blocks shown above are identical in pattern to those in the
Geo. B. Carpenter Co. Catalog of 1920.
These blocks are smaller than those in the Carpenter catalog indicating that the foundry cast at least six sizes ranging from 83 pounds to 625 pounds.
